Opening of Tsukuba express in 2005 has increased visitors to the gate of Asakusa, Asakusa Kokusai-shopping street association. The name of “Kokusai” comes from “Kokusai-theater” which use to be everyday crowded with fan for Shochiku Revue. At the site of “Kokusai-theater”,“ASAKUSA VIEW HOTEL” was built and now that new landmark. Characteristic of our shopping mall is gathered with various shop’s group and they own their special name, for example, “Beat street” means some shops deal with percussion instruments such as Japanese traditional drums in this street.
