Miyamoto Unosuke Shoten has made and sold traditional Japanese drum, Mikoshi, and festival fixture since 1861, offered Gagaku-instrument to Imperial Household Agency, drum and mikoshi to Kabukiza theater, national theater, national no-theater, and shrines and temples in Japan. The west branch shop has showroom and shop on the rst and second oors, a museum“Taiko-kan”showing drums collected from the world on the 4th oor.

Opening of Tsukuba express in 2005 has increased visitors to the gate of Asakusa, Asakusa Kokusai-shopping street association. The name of “Kokusai” comes from “Kokusai-theater” which use to be everyday crowded with fan for Shochiku Revue.
