浅草国際通り

There used to be a Shinto shrine and temple near the Ōtemachi’s “Grave of Taira-no-Masakado”. The Shinto shrine was Kanda Myojin, the temple being “Nichirinji”. At this land we were suffering for a long time due to the evil of Masakado’s vengeful spirit, around 1300 Jishu sect Niso Taa Shinkyo holy priest held a memorial service and controlled the spirit. On that occasion the spirit was dedicated to the Kanda Myojin, and Nichiriniji was renewed to be the Jishu’s Buddhist invocation’s training hall. The temple was moved to the current Asakusa after the “Great fire of Meireki”, yet Taira no Masakado’s dedication is being managed at the Nichirinji. Furthermore, Takasoden’s precious woodblock “Ippenshounin’s illustrated doings woodblock” where Jishu Shuso Ippenshounin’s (1239–1289) life is represented on a total of 48 scenes is held.
