Kappabashi Dougu Street passing through the west side of Asakusa Kokusai-dori is internationally rare speciality shop street where over 170 stores dealing with kitchen equipment and packaging supplies are gathered. Everything related to the kitchen is being sold, and because of its great product lineup, not only the professionals but also many housewives and tourists visit. In recent years, food samples have gained popularity as souvenirs to foreign tourists.Every year for the one week of October 9th (Tool day) “Kappa bashi tool festival” is held.
